The Kostrey Collection believes that changing the world begins in our own neighborhoods. We are passionate about the communities we live in and are dedicated to supporting organizations that make a difference in them. The Kostrey Collection started We Heart Mid-City LA to do just that. With every closed transaction, we pledge to donate $250 to a charity of your choice. Since our launch in January of 2017, we have donated over $14,000 to charities of our clients’ choosing.

West Adams Heritage Association
Besides the goal of preservation of the community’s architectural heritage WAHA also supports beautification activities, block club initiatives, and neighborhood councils within the West Adams network and in addition seeks to educate Los Angeles’ citizens as well as others about the area’s cultural heritage and about possible restoration techniques.
LA Conservancy
The LA Conservancy works to preserve the historic places that make LA unique. Through education and advocacy, they raise awareness of historic places, prevent their needless demolition, empower people to save the places they love, and foster strong preservation laws and incentives.
The Advot Project
The Advot Project’s mission is to empower girls and young women, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds, to take control of their destiny by teaching them communication skills and healthy relationships through the arts. They work in juvenile detention centers, local high schools, community centers, and at Homeboy Industries.
A Thousand Joys
A Thousand Joys teaches self-care and emotional regulation techniques to youth and families exposed to trauma and violence. In addition, we train organizations who serve them, so that their staff may provide the best quality care possible.
Girls On The Run
Girls on the Run inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness.
Legal Aid Foundation of LA
Since 1929, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles has provided civil legal aid to poor and low-income people in Los Angeles County. LAFLA is the first place thousands of poor people turn to when they need legal assistance for a crisis that threatens their shelter, health and livelihood.
Public Counsel
Public Counsel strives to achieve three main goals: protecting the legal rights of disadvantaged children; representing immigrants who have been the victims of torture, persecution, domestic violence, trafficking, and other crimes; and fostering economic justice by providing individuals and institutions in underserved communities with access to quality legal representation.
International Rescue Committee
The mission of the IRC is to help people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future. The IRC will put in place high-impact, cost-effective solutions that help people affected by crisis. They also use their learning and experience to shape humanitarian policy and practice in ways that improve the lives of more people worldwide.
Project Angel Food
Project Angel Food has provided a vital lifeline of hope and nutrition to neighbors struggling with illness. They cook and deliver more than 10,000 meals every week to people who are too sick to shop and cook for themselves.
My Friends Place
My Friend’s Place assists and inspires homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives through meals, medical care, and various job and housing programs.
Covenant House California
CHC is a youth homeless shelter that provides sanctuary and support for homeless and trafficked youth, ages 18-25. They provide a full continuum of services to meet the physical, emotional, educational, vocational, and spiritual well-being of young people, in order to provide them with the best chance for success in independence.
Beagles and Buddies
Beagles & Buddies rescues purebred and mixed Beagles, as well as other hounds and small dogs, from pounds, humane societies & off of the street. Beagles & Buddies finds safe, new homes for almost all of its dogs. In accordance with their no-kill policy, the rescue facility keeps any dog that is not adopted.
Elizabeth House
Elizabeth House exists to provide shelter, hope and support to homeless pregnant women and their children by addressing their physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic needs in a nurturing atmosphere. Elizabeth House has been serving women and children in the Los Angeles area for more than 20 years.
